Step 1: PREPARATIONS:
. Your hair should be 1/4 long or longer for Surgi Hair Removal Strips to grip it successfully.
. Clean area by applying soap and water, then rinse and pat dry.
Step 2: SMOOTH ON“ PULL OFF!
. Heat the strip for a few moments with the palms of your hands for a few moments
. Separate wax strip by peeling apart the two sides. NOTE: Each strip becomes two strips that can both be used.
. Apply strip (with wax facing down toward skin), firmly apply pressure and smooth in the direction of hair growth. With one hand, hold the skin taut. With the other hand, peel off the strip in one quick motion in the opposite direction of hair growth. DO NOT PULL OFF UPWARDS.
. Do not peel back cautiously. If you do, the strip will appear to be sticking to the skin. Always hold the skin taut and peel off quickly. Wax strip comes away clean and free, gripping only the hairs and causing minimum discomfort.
. Should any residue of wax be left on the skin, it may be removed easily with Skin Smoothing Oil.
Helpful Application Tips
Place hand behind your head to stretch the skin and apply strip. Remove wax strip as usual, stretching the arm as far back as possible to hold the skin taut. NOTE: Underarm hair growth can vary in many different directions. Check your growth pattern before attempting hair removal. It may be necessary to remove a few hairs with tweezers afterwards.
CAUTION: Do not use commercial deodorants for a day after underarm hair removal.
Bend the leg outwards and apply strip to the inside of the thigh. Use your other hand to stretch skin taut, close to where you are pulling and peel off against the hair growth. If a few stubborn hairs remain, they can be removed with tweezers.
Arm hair usually grows laterally. Place strip around arm (crosswise) and peel off in opposite direction of hair growth.
Apply strip to leg. Stretch skin taut and quickly peel off in opposite direction of hair growth.
Surgi Hair Removal Strips should not be used on skin which is sunburned, cut, chapped, or sore; nor over old weak scars from eczema; nor over varicose veins, moles or warts. It should not be used by the elderly or anyone with loose skin.
Test a small area on the inside of your wrist for temperature sensitivity.
Do not use on irritated, cut or broken skin.
Do not use inside nose, ears, on nipples, eyelashes, warts and moles or near internal genital area.
Do not use if client has varicose veins, diabetes, phlebitis, chapped, sore or sunburned skin, recent scar tissue, eczema or any skin disorder.
Do not use if client is using Retin-A, Accutane, Glycolic Acid or Alpha Hydroxy treatment.
Do not use soaps or astringents for 2 hours after application.
Avoid the sun, tanning and hot water for 8 hours before and after any hair removal treatment.
